Italpresse Gauss has appointed Michael Martin, one of the die casting industry’s leading sales and technical experts, to head up strategic expansion across the US, Canada, Mexico and South America.

We are famed around the world for our hard-working, fully automated and digitally enabled die casting technology, and are thrilled Michael Martin has joined us as Sales Director for the Americas.

Building on our enhanced US-based parts and servicing capabilities, Michael joins us as we grow our foundry customer base across the region.

With over 20 years’ industry experience, spanning die casting machinery and peripherals, manufacturing process aids and metal working chemicals, and long-standing active membership of leading industry bodies including the North American Die Casting Association (NADCA), Michael is well known by the die casting community.

Having previously held senior sales and account management positions at businesses including Chem-Trend, Nica USA, MPM Sales Group and UBE Machinery Inc, Michael is excited about taking on this new challenge.

“As you’d expect given Italpresse Gauss’ 50 year heritage, I’ve been familiar with the company for a long time and the feedback from die casters I know who use their technology always links back to one thing. Dependable performance that lasts. For me, that’s a great starting point for sharing what I believe is a much bigger, so far un-tapped story for Italpresse Gauss in the Americas. Because in addition to building machines that perform well for decades, the innovation they bring to the table - from their Toggle Free two-platen technology to the latest automated, digital and AI-based solutions for enhanced productivity – is a real selling point. Especially right now when improving efficiency, expanding automation and driving down waste is more critical than ever before.”

Michael also believes that his route to driving more business throughout the region will be made much easier thanks to Italpresse Gauss membership in Norican Group.  “The other brands of the group are well recognized and industry leading.  StrikoWestofen furnace solutions, DISA Vertical & match molding and Wheelabrator surface finishing technologies are particularly strong names within or related to the aluminium die casting community”, said Michael.

“The integrated Norican brand offering, our regional parts stocking programs from our LaGrange GA Technology hub and our expanded Italpresse Gauss regional service team will hold real appeal to die casters here.”
