ItalPresseGauss, part of Norican Group, is announcing the retirement of its President Carlo Scalmana, effective July 2019.

Carlo joined Italpresse, the aluminium die casting specialist more than ten years ago. Since then, Carlo has been instrumental in delivering growth, building on the company’s reputation for developing and delivering outstanding Aluminium casting equipment and service, as well as working very closely with our customers on delivering value creating solutions.

Mr Scalmana’s decision to retire triggers the deployment of Norican’s leadership succession strategy, placing new and capable leadership into this vital role in a critical business inside Norcian Groups portfolio.

Peter Holm Larsen, President of the Parts Formation business at Norican Group, comments:

“Carlo’s leaving marks the end of an era for ItalPresseGauss. It was his drive and his commitment that has taken us to our current position in the industry – a strong team, a brand that stands for high-end technology and innovation, providing die-casting solutions to some of the biggest names in our industry. We wish to thank Carlo on behalf of everyone across the Norican Group, for the contribution he made and for his visionary leadership of ItalPresseGauss over the last decade.”

Carlo will step back, but will remain active in the business through to July to help secure a smooth transition to a new leadership of ItalPresseGauss and our Centre for Product Innovation Die Casting in Brescia, Italy.

Enrico de Bernardi has been appointed interim Manager of Norican’s Brescia operations and will be working together with Peter Holm Larsen and the local management team to ensure progression and development of the company, focusing on organisation, customers and technology.
